In August, I was invited to contribute a virtual presentation to the Foresight Training for Anticipatory Adaptation in the Hindu Kush Himalaya event, organised by the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) in Dhulikhel, Nepal.

In my presentation I shared some of our practical experiences from developing normative scenarios for landscape change in Switzerland and Peru and how such scenarios can be operationalized in simulation models to identify locations for conservation areas to effectively mitigate biodiversity loss but also the trade-offs that certain strategies may incur.
